Thomas Causton
Causton's Bluff, the plantation of Thomas Causton
Thomas Causton became well known in Georgia's colonial history. Reports, correspondence, complaints, etc. of him are replete in Candler's Colonial Records of Georgia. He was made a Magistrate in Savannah about 1733 or 1734 and for better than ten years controlled the political scene in Savannah. This genealogy is detailed under "Biographical Sketches" by Jeannette Holland Austin and is available to members of Georgia Pioneers
