Descendants of Flora Macdonald in Georgia

FloraMacdonald 1722-1790, daughter of Ronald Macdonald, came to Fayetteville North Carolina to escape British persecution for her part in hiding bonnie Prince Charles during the Jacobite Rebellion. Onc in America, her family took the side of the loyalists, fighting at the battle of Moore's Mill. Hugh Macdonald, 16 years old was captured by the American forces and served throughout the war.  As a result, he drew bounty lands in Elbert County.
