Gruber of Austria

Peter Gruber Sr. Left Taxenburg, Austria ca 1722, after all Protestants were order from that country bt the catholic church. The persecuted roamed Europe for several years in search of a home. When it was learned that General Oglethorpe would take them to Georgia, those persons in Holland were given passage to Georgia and settled in Effingham County.
